"Get Out"  is a thriller satirical horror movie by Jordan Haworth Peel, an renown AfroAmerican actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director.  Released on February 24, 2017, to critical acclaim and box-office success, "Get Out"  has become one of the most profitable films of all time.

The main actor, Daniel Kaluuya was born in London, the son of Ugandan immigrants. The story in Get Out  goes like this: A Black man Chris, played by Daniel Kaluuya, and his white girlfriend, Rose, played by Allison Williams, have been dating for a while. Now it is the time to go through meet-the-parents moment. Rose invites Chris for a weekend stay with her weird parents, Missy and Dean, and her brother. The start is full of anxiety as Chris and Rose's parents try to overcame the anxieties from an interracial relationship.

However, that is the less thrilling step. As the weekend progresses, a series of incidents happen that led Chris to increasingly discover the truth behind the parents's odd behavior. He enters the world he never thought still existed in which the horrors of racism have taken another step. After watching the movie, it is easy to understand why it was released in 2017 with rave reviews and success.

The movie teaches so many things, including the tortuous road evil, such as racism, can take to torment unsuspecting innocent souls.

Other great movies that were ranked high by Rotten Tomatoes and that were on the radar of AfroAmerica Network this year include: "I am not Your Negro"  (see here: I Am Not Your Negro: A Movie I Invite All Americans to Watch ) and "Hidden Figures" ( Hidden Figures: A Movie About the Genius, Resilience, and Humanity of Black Women).
